Investigations

An Investigator's duties include being available 24 hours a day to assist an officer on the street to complete an investigation.  This might include fingerprinting, photographing, collecting blood samples, or even making shoe casts of a crime scene.  Investigators also spend a lot of time interviewing witnesses, surveillance of undercover drug purchases, preserving evidence, completing search warrants, handling arrest warrants, testifying in court, assisting an officer in putting a case together that is ready for the courtroom, completing background checks for the Department on prospective officers, completing internal investigations, and also investigating personnel for other agencies at the request of agency heads.  Under the supervision of the Detective Sergeant Tom Davis, current Department Detectives are Todd Zwetzig, Steve Brown, and Steve Vosburg.  (pictured above, left to right).
