| Fort Morgan City Council has
passed Ordinance No. 1032, effective Wednesday, September 13,
2006, amending
the provisions of the Zoning and Land Use Code of the
City of Fort Morgan, Colorado, concerning supplemental
regulations for minimum requirements for the location of
off-street parking on residential property within the City.
The intent of the Ordinance is to restore some of the
orderliness that previously existed in all residential
neighborhoods in the City. We are hopeful that it will
receive the support of those citizens who are concerned about
and support the beautification of Fort Morgan.
The Ordinance prohibits and eliminates
the parking of motor vehicles, trailers, and equipment in the
front or side yards of residential properties in the City.
Such items could continue to be parked or stored in the garage
or in the driveway of the residence; or in the street, in
conformance with existing parking regulations.
